Present: Chairman Christians, Supervisor Jack Sjostrom, Supervisor Jason Sjostrom, Supervisor Kariainen, Supervisor Bandow, Carol Stone, Clerk, Rebecca Brunner-Stroede, Treasurer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 08, 2021 Regular Town Board Meeting Minutes. Supervisor Kariainen made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Supervisor Bandow 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF TREASURER REPORT: Supervisor Bandow made a motion to approve the March 08, 2021 Treasurer’s Report. Supervisor Jack Sjostrom 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
APPROVAL CLERK REPORT: Supervisor Jack Sjostrom made a motion to approve the March 08, 2021, Clerk Report. Supervisor Bandow 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
PUBLIC INPUT: Tom Rowley of the Seeley Lions Club, requested permission to upgrade the Pickle Ball Court @ Silverthorn Park. The Seeley Lions Club intends to resurface/upgrade the court at an approximate cost of $6,000.00, which they intend to cover the entire cost of the upgrade. The board appreciated their donation to the park.
Jennifer Bandow: is concerned regarding the quality of water in the town hall. Chairman Christians will contact the persons who can check our water quality .
OLD BUSINESS: Nelson Lake water flow is still rising. Road bans will be lifted on April 19, 2021, @12:01 pm
ZONING: Sawyer County Zoning Administration. 6.5 Trailer Camps & Campground Ordinance Amendment. Supervisor Kariainen made a motion to approve the amendment on contingent the sentence in the cover letter “Existing campgrounds of operation would be “grandfathered” in to the zoning ordinance that was in affect at the time that initial campground was in operation or created” is typed into the amended ordinance. Supervisor Jack Sjostrom 2nd the motion., All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. Scott & Shelly Orton-Township Approval Application: Supervisor Jack Sjostrom made a motion to approve the application. Supervisor Kariainen 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
BIDS: 1-Ton Patrol/Work Truck. One bid received from North Town Ford/Menomonie WI. Information on the bid needed to be verified. Chairman Christians made a motion to TABLE the bids until a special meeting was set up. Supervisor Bandow 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
BID Letter: A letter was received from Don Johnson Motors stating they were unable to offer the town a bid at this time.
VENTURES UNLIMITED PARK CLEANING CONTRACT FOR 2021. Chairman Christians made a motion to accept the 2021 contract. Supervisor Kariainen 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 Yes, 0 No. Motion carried. [Cleaning costs remain the same as the 2020 contract]
SEELEY LIONS CLUB PRE-FAT BIKE RACE ON 8/2/1/2021: Supervisor Jack Sjostrom made a motion to approve the race application. Supervisor Kariainen 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
LIQUOR LICENSE REVELLE’S LANDING LLC: Danielle Harvey, Agent. Supervisor Jason Sjostrom made a motion to approve the liquor License. Supervisor Bandow 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
ROAD & BRIDGE REPORT: Trucks have been serviced. Road Sweeping will start within the next two weeks. Tagalder Bridge site project preparing to start in 2022. The approximate cost to the town may be $50,000.00.
TOWN OF LENROOT SEELEY RIVERSIDE CEMETERY: none
APPROVAL OF BILLS: Supervisor Jack Sjostrom made a motion to approve the Federal and State withholding internet payments and check series #29478 thru #29524 making the April 12 , 2021, total expense of $51,570.75. Supervisor Bandow 2nd the motion. All in favor. 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
